SISTER SADIE
Sister Sadie is a wildfire: raging hot bluegrass combined with breathtaking instrumental drive and awe-inspiring vocals. Comprised of original members Deanie Richardson (fiddle), Gena Britt (banjo & vocals) and newcomers Jaelee Roberts (guitar & vocals), Dani Flowers (guitar & vocals), and Maddie Dalton (acoustic bass & vocals), Sister Sadie has combined the varied talents of each of the individual women in the lineup to create something that is far more than the sum of its parts. It is a sound uniquely their own. Yes, it’s undeniably classic, hard-driving bluegrass, but it’s much more than just that. Rooted in forceful and tight vocal harmonies, this isn’t your granddaddy’s Appalachian high lonesome sound. This is something far more powerful than that—it’s the sound of the mountains themselves.

Lake Lure Music Festival is also bringing in Walter Finley Duo featuring April Dawn to open for Sister Sadie.
Walter Finley is a musician, singer and songwriter and grew up on Long Island, NY. April Dawn is also a singer and grew up on a farm between Concord and Mount Pleasant, NC. They met a handful of years ago when Walter was performing on stage- April made a song request and Walter jokingly asked her if she wanted to come on stage and sing it…and she did. The rest is history!
Walter Finley Duo featuring April Dawn have won numerous awards, including the 2022 Carolina Country Music Association Tour of the Year with April Dawn, the 2022 International Singer Songwriters Association Vocal Duo of the Year, and the 2021 International Singer Songwriters Association US Emerging Artist of the Year. Additionally, they have won the 2020 & 2021 Carolina Country Music Association Duo of the Year and have been nominated for various International Singer Songwriters Association Awards such as Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Male Rising Star, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Emerging Artist of the Year.
